Is there anything that can help to create a more loving relationship? Sometimes all a couple need is a common goal that allows them to work hard together, keeping their hearts and minds in sync at the same time. In this issue of Amagram, two couples who chose to develop their Amway business together share how the business enables them to enjoy extra income and security, in addition to a fruitful and loving relationship.

The Perfect Complement

Quentin and Kitty achieved Ruby Direct Distributor status within just a year of joining Amway. Talking about their outstanding result, the pair shared that “a strong relationship and being complementary to each other are both very important – and we both have a clear and different role in the business,” said Quentin, whose experience in the advertising industry has given him the confidence and eloquence to approach new partners and share the business opportunity with new friends.

Kitty, meanwhile, has shown herself to be very capable of taking good care of the family and their twins, and her kindness also helps Amway new joiners to build their confidence in the business. Their complementary skills and ability to share have enabled the pair to achieve a lot in just a short period of time.

Keeping Hearts and Minds in Sync

As the owner of an advertising company, Quentin has a deep understanding of how his traditional business will be affected if he leaves it for a while. Amway is different from a traditional business, because it enables the pair to enhance their relationship by adding more energy and having more in common to share.

“Our goal is to build long-term security for our family. Traditional businesses are easily affected by the economic situation, while the advertising industry has become something of a ‘sunset industry’, which meant we needed to find a backup plan,” shared Quentin. As loyal users of Amway’s products, they thought about the Amway business right away when they began the search for a second income. “We acted fast and got to know more from friends who were already developing the business,” said Quentin.

The pair had a lot more in common once they began to develop Amway. “We are now spending more time with each other and our relationship has never been better!” smiled Kitty, who said she feels comfortable about their status now. “Being able to complement each other is very important for couples who want to develop the Amway business actively. We are like a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces fit neatly together.”

The pair have also created many good memories to share through Amway. “When Quentin went out to share the Amway business opportunity with partners, he was so focused on his mission that he forgot to drive back home. He thought the car was missing!” Kitty laughed. “Later he remembered that he had parked near the Amway Experience Centre so I went out to help him find our ‘stolen’ car.”

The pair work comfortably together, hand in glove. Quentin is focused chiefly on business building while Kitty offers invaluable support. “This is our tacit understanding,” Kitty beamed.

Be Strong in Your Belief

“People can be drawn to each other by fate. Follow your heart, cultivate a deeper relationship with your other half and commit to remain together. The Amway business works in a similar way; simply believe in the business and success is at hand if you stay focused, stay happy and work hard,” Quentin said, adding that the best path is to believe in the decisions you make and work hard towards your ultimate goal.

Making a Big Difference in Life

Personal strength can help to create a strong bond early in your early relationship. That strength can help you to relate to each other more in times of need, drawing you closer together and leading to a more durable partnership.

When Patrick and Helen first encountered Amway, they started out by getting to know more about its products. Later they started to learn more about the business model and then decided to become Distributors. “We got together as a couple while we were studying at university, and both of us got to know Amway at that time too. We were both skinny and quite unhealthy, but our condition saw a great improvement after our friends introduced us to Amway’s health supplements. That gave us a very positive impression about Amway,” Helen recalled.

Creating a loving and lasting partnership is not always an easy task. These two determined couples – Quentin & Kitty and Patrick & Helen – admire each other and share the same goal, which in turn enables them to share the Amway business with more people and enhance their relationship at the same time.

Work Hard Together

Helen joined Amway first, and she kept sharing the business opportunity and talking about Amway’s strengths with Patrick, who planned to join Amway later. “Patrick used to pick me up after I’d met with my partners when I started out in the business. I would talk about the things I’d learnt and introduce him to the protection offered by business, as well showing him how Amway helps to make our lives more meaningful,” Helen said.

“Seeing the positive changes the business had brought to me, Patrick said he planned to join Amway ‘secretly’ and that he would let me know after he had achieved a good result,” Helen smiled, adding that she felt thankful when Patrick chose to work closely together with her in the business. “We are from different industries, but now we can share the same goal. We feel excited because we have qualified for the trip to Amway’s organic farm and headquarters in the United States!”

A New Chapter of Life

Helen recently gave birth to her first baby – a little boy. “I quit my traditional job so that I could devote more time to developing my Amway business as well as looking after my baby,” she said. “I was very busy in my traditional job and often needed to work overtime, so I decided to quit after I got pregnant – and I was able to do it thanks to the extra income and protection provided by Amway. I feel blessed that I can now manage my own time and make my own choices.”

Patrick is a very cautious person, while Helen is bright and lively. But while the pair have very different characters, there’s a great chemistry that develops when it comes to the Amway business.

“While I am focusing on installing products in a customer’s home, Helen will be conducting product demonstrations and introducing the Amway business opportunity at the same time, so we can provide our customers with an all-round experience,” Patrick shared, saying that their relationship has been greatly enhanced by working hard together.

The Amway business has gone through different life stages in parallel with Patrick and Helen’s personal journey. “We both see Amway as our lifelong business, and we see our relationship the same way,” Helen said.
